Diego's Doctor's appointment
Today Diego had a two month old check up with our Pediatrician Dr. Howsen. She is such a wonderful doctor, she is very laid back and easy going. Diego is on the right track with everything. He currently weights a little over 11 pounds and is 24 inches long ;) So he is in the 50% for his weight and 75%-90% for his height.
Other then that not much else is going on. I am going to be done with my first sequence in the Dental Assisting program. I should be done with the program in June and will graduate in October. (they only have two graduations and I will have just missed the spring one.)

Another year over.. and a new one has just begun
Although I am wayyyyy behind on keeping you updated, I'll briefly go through the end of our year and what we've been doing so far.We had TONS of snow, it seemed to be never ending. Before the "big storm" was coming we headed down to Lacey to be with family for Christmas time.
- Daniel got a bonus from his work, so we were able to go shopping and get gifts for ourselves and others.
- Monica got me interested in the book series Twilight.. DARN HER!! ;)
- Diego talks and smiles and it warms our hearts everytime. He wakes us up with smiles and giggles. We love it!!!!
- Christmas Eve and morning were spent with Daniel's family and then Christmas Day was with my family for my Grandpa's birthday.
- Daniel, Diego and I went back home for a couple days before going down to Lacey again for Daniel's dad's birthday.
- I went back to school after two weeks off.
- Daniel's TNT classes at the arena are growing
- Diego is getting a personality and a schedule now. Today we bought him a Bumbo and he looks ADORABLE in it.

What a week..
Last Friday night, I got a call from Denise saying that Norma was in the ER and had been there all day. The doctors there thought she had an aneurysm. I finally got a hold of Daniel and let him know the news and he hurried home from work. I quickly packed everything up and we got on the road to head down to Lacey. Of course everyone was upset and scared. Thankfully, the doctors did some tests and it was actually Meniere's Disease. They released her on Saturday and boy was she happy to see Diego. We really appreciate everyone who prayed for Norma. On the way down I was praying that God would just encourage friends or family to just start praying for the family not knowing what was going on, and right away I got a text from Krysta! It was amazing!!
The doctors say that she can take some medication to help her feel better or try and correct it with diet.. Low Sodium.
We hung out there the rest of the weekend. Monica and Denise helped decorate their house for Christmas. We watched a really great movie called The Fall, and Denise and I totally kicked everyone's butt at Scene It!!! We were a great team, but then the boys took the next round. :)
Daniel and I came back Sunday night. That night our little man decided not to go to sleep until 5AM!!! I slept through it though. I woke up at 5 and saw Daniel walking around with Diego, asked if he ever went to sleep and Daniel says, "Nope!" I have such an amazing husband, letting me sleep through it and feeding him with a bottle(he is such a loving Papa). Maybe because he knew that I had a doctors appointment that morning. Dr. Wang says I am healing very well. :)
School is going good. I got 100% on my first DA Test. It wasn't difficult, Ms. Jeannie is really good about giving us worksheets to study or the test. There is really no reason ANYONE in that class should fail tests. It's funny to me though that people still act like they are in high school there. Looks like I am going to just keep to myself and stay away from drama.
Some new things that Diego is doing this week are: Really getting fixed on a persons face, smiling with HUGE grins, laughing and coo-ing when we talk with him. He had a doctors appointment on Thursday and looks like everything is how it should be. He is over 8 pounds and just wanting to eat more then 4 ounces when he eats.

I am still trying to figure out what I can do for dinners so that Daniel has something to eat when I am at school, instead of waiting until I get home. Any freezer dinner ideas?? That was Daniel can just throw it in the oven.

So it begins...

Well, this weekend Denise suggested that I start a blog of Diego and other events in our little family. So, when I get the chance, I will add little tid bits of our days.
Thanksgiving was really great. We got to sit back, relax, be with family, and I got to see some friends. Everyone was so happy to see Diego. No one wanted to give him up, even Daniel and I :) We even let Diego sleep with his Tias one night, as hard as that was, so Daniel and I could catch up on a little sleep.
I am still craving Thanksgiving food. I don't think I got enough!! Thanksgiving is my favorite holiday... you get all the great food, family, time to relax and there is no anticipation of gifts. I also like that after Thanksgiving (or that night really) is when I feel it's right to start listening to Christmas music or putting up decorations and best of all, start watching Christmas movies. Sunday before everyone left, we ran over to Hunter's Farm so Daniel's family could pick out a tree for their house. My mom is going to come this weekend to help me decorate our apartment, since she has all my decorations.
Diego is starting to talk a lot more (coo-ing and making grunting noises). The other night Daniel was changing him and he would just laugh and coo at everything Daniel was saying. When I got home from school Monday night, he was doing the same thing. Of course when I tried to catch it on camera.. he stopped. Daniel called him the "singing frog". He smiles sooo much and I just want to squeeze him every time he does it. He is also following objects with his eyes and turning his head to find it.
He is also starting to get a bit more meat on him. We had to start giving him some formula because we don't think he was getting enough milk from me. Although it is plugging him up :( Poor guy! I find it funny how Daniel and I laugh and cheer Diggs on when he farts or poops. (oh the joys of parenthood.) Diego even HOLDS the bottle! He is only 5 weeks old and I think he is already so advanced ... and did I mention STINKING ADORABLE?!
